King Arthur's parents met in a very strange way. Uther Pendragon, who
was the King of Britain, had fallen in love with a beautiful woman
named Igraine, who was the wife of Duke Gorlois of Cornwall. Garlois had
heard the news and had Igraine taken from Uther's court to the Cornish
Castle. Uther was going to make an attack on his castle , but first
asked Merlin, a wizard, for help when Merlin said he should attack
another of Garlois castles to get him out of his own castle. While he
was out, Merlin changes Uther to look like Garlois to get him into
Tintagel safely. Uther and Igraine were together the night while Garlois
was killed by Uther's army (Snyder 64). Later Igraine gave birth to a
